About the CSM
The Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) course is a two-day, entry-level course taught by a Certified Scrum Trainer®. The CSM course is designed to cover all the basics of Scrum so you can begin to fulfill the ScrumMaster role. This course is appropriate for people in the ScrumMaster role as well as project team members, stakeholders, managers, Product Owners, and anyone who wants to understand what Agile and Scrum are all about.
Through an experiential, hands-on learning approach, this course provides foundational education in Agile and Scrum, including its values, principles, and practices. This interactive learning approach will include a variety of exercises, activities, and discussions for attendees to learn how to apply Scrum in both software and non-software development scenarios.

Is there a live instructor?Yes! This is a 2-day live instructor led course with an experienced Certified Scrum Trainer (CST). Our trainers have experience applying Scrum and consulting organizations on how to best apply Scrum for optimal results. The class will be full of real world examples and project applications.

How many people will be in the class?Our classes typically range from 15-30 people which will allow for us to have breakout sessions and group discussions in this highly engaging and interactive training class.

If I don’t have previous knowledge on Scrum, can I still attend?Yes! You do not need to have any previous experience on Scrum in order to attend this class. We will cover the foundations of the Scrum Framework in the class. We will also have a project simulation where you will experience working on a team to use the Scrum Framework on a “mini project” in a planning simulation where you will gain experience planning a Scrum project from the ground up with your team in class. You will also gain experience on how to use virtual collaboration techniques to facilitate a team virtually.

Do I need experienced in IT to get this certification?No, you do not need a technical background in order to attend this course. Agile has been frequently used in IT projects and software development, however companies are using Agile in many industries today! We have certified people in Health Care, Education, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, Customer Service - the list goes on...

How do I take the exam?After completing the class on day 2, you will get an email with instructions to take the online exam which you can take from anywhere with a wifi connection. The exam is 50 questions and is all multiple choice. You will have 90 days to take the exam (though we recommend taking it within the first week after completing the class). Upon successfully completing the exam, you will receive immediate results and can download your certificate and badge.
